Sumgait pogroms commemorated in Sofia![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 27, the 23rd anniversary of pogroms of Armenians in Sumgait was commemorated in Sofia at the initiative of the Armenian embassy in Bulgaria. Armenian Ambassador to Bulgaria Arsen Shoyan, eyewitnesses of the massacres, representatives of intelligentsia and a range of public organizations participated in the event. They observed one minute silence for victims of the Sumgait pogroms and laid a wreath to khachkar in Yerevan park of Sofia. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
