  Clouds gathering over Azerbaijani Defense Minister March 26, 2011 - 11:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev decided to personally address the situation in his army and dispatched his security and defense advisor Vahid Aliyev to monitor the frontline and draw a report, which might further put an end to Defense Minister Safar Abiyev’s career, Yeni Musavat newspaper reports. According to the report, Vahid Aliyev unexpectedly arrived at a number of military units, including the one in Shamkhor, where 7 soldiers were killed on February 20. Later, he will prepare a report that can determine Safarov's destiny and contribute to Aliyev's assuming the Minister's post. Meanwhile, Milaz.info reports that Vahid Aliyev plans to promote his own protégés with the assistance of staff department head, Deputy Defense Minister Chingiz Mammadov, bypassing Abiyev.
