Over 2,300 instances of ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan reported over three months

PanARMENIAN.Net - Cases of ceasefire violation again increased at the line of contact of the NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces on April 4-9.

Azerbaijan violated ceasefire for over 260 times, firing at all NKR positions and using various caliber weapons, the press service of the Artsakh Defense Ministry reported.

"It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan acts this way on the threshold of another visit of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen to the region," the Ministry said.

Besides, over 2,300 instances of ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan were recorded within the first three months of 2011. Azerbaijan fired 13,000 shots, including 1,200 shots from sniper's weapon.

Despite actions of Azerbaijan, the NKR Defense Army continues providing security at all positions.
