Armenia to continue its peacekeeping efforts in Afghanistan![]() April 15, 2011 - 11:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Berlin hosted a meeting of Foreign Ministers from 50 states on Afghanistan with participation of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. The activity of International Security Assistance Force was in the focus of the meeting. “Armenia will continue contributing to the efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan,” Mr. Nalbandian said. He also expressed gratitude to the German authorities for cooperation with respect to stationing and service of the Armenian contingent in Afghanistan, the RA MFA press service reported. The Armenian peacekeeping contingent is a part of German brigade within the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF). The main mission of Armenian peacekeepers is to ensure security in the Airport of Kunduz. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
