Monument to Armenian policemen killed or missing in Karabakh war unveiled in Yerevan![]() April 15, 2011 - 14:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 15, the Police Academy of Armenia hosted an event dedicated to the Police Day in Armenia. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the event to unveil a monument to 135 Armenian policemen killed or missing in the Karabakh war. Head of the Police Academy of Armenia Lieutenant General Hovhannes Varyan said that the monument is of great importance, since people, who sacrificed their life for the Fatherland, can never be forgotten. Varyan added that currently the Police Academy of Armenia implements reforms. Relatives of the perished policemen also participated in the event and laid flowers at the monument. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
