EU MINISTERIAL COUNCIL SPEAKS FOR INCREASING EU'S ROLE IN THE SOUTHERN CAUCASIAN REGION

PanARMENIAN.Net - 27.02.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Ministerial Council of the European Union speaks for increasing the role of EU in the Southern Caucasian region.

European ministers, in the statement approved in Brussels, say that the results of the recent visit of top EU officials to Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan indicate the importance EU gives to the relations with the countries of the Southern Caucasian region.

EU Ministerial Council asked the European Community Committee to work out concrete recommendations in order to intensify EU's policy in the region. --0--
