Yerevan to screen 2 comics-based films

PanARMENIAN.Net - In late May, Yerevan will premiere Kenneth Branagh’s Thor film, starring Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman, a Moscow cinema representative told a PanARMENAN.Net reporter.

The superhero film is based on comic book character of the same name published by Marvel Comics and is the fourth film released in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was released on April 27, 2011 in Australia and May 6, 2011 in the United States.

Also, The Green Lantern a superhero film based on the comic book character of the same name is expected to premiere in Yerevan in late June.

The film will star Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, with Martin Campbell directing a script by Greg Berlanti and comic book writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, which was subsequently rewritten by Michael Goldenberg. Green Lantern is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2011 in 3D.
