Armenian PM: the country can improve situation with state debt servicing![]() May 13, 2011 - 14:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said Armenia managed to considerably improve its indices of export, due to which the foreign trade turnover grew by 1.2% in 2010. “We should maintain these positive trends to cut the budget deficit and achieve the planned indices,” Sargsyan said during parliamentary hearings on the 2010 state budget report. The state budget deficit reduced in 2010, totaling 5% against 7.7% in 2009. “Due to it, we can expect that Armenia will improve the situation with the state debt servicing,” said Sargsyan. According to him, the state budget revenues totaled AMD 780bln in 2010 that is 13% higher compared to 2009, while the expenditures exceeded the 2009 index by around 3%. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision.
