ARFD member generally positive about presidential speech in PACE![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - ARF Dashnaktsutyun supreme body representative Armen Rustamyan is, on the whole, positive about Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s remarks in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. “The approach to the principle of territorial integrity was too constructive, what is contrary to our concept,” Rustamyan told journalist before the start of ARFD congress in Yerevan. “Armenia has to explain its non-recognition of Artsakh as a concession aimed to maintain the pace of negotiations but not as result of respect for territorial integrity,” he emphasized. “Besides, President Sargsyan made a wrong accent when saying that Azerbaijan is more prepared for war than Armenia. I believe that it wasn’t what he meant but the audience could take him in a different way,” he said. Rustamyan also disagreed with President’s statements on anticorruption reform and revised Electoral Code. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
