ARMENIA ASKS PAKISTAN TO STOP SUPPORTING TERRORIST ACTIVITIES IN KASHMIR

PanARMENIAN.Net - 05.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenia endorsed the unilateral cease-fire announced by India during Ramzan, said in Deli visiting Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian, Press Trust of India reports.

"Talks can be resumed after Pakistan puts a stop to terrorism, encroachments and motivated actions. The Kashmir issue can be resolved only through peaceful negotiations," Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian told reporters.

Armenian Foreign Minister also said that Armenia shared India's concern about the situation in Afghanistan.

Armenia supported India's intent to become a permanent member of an enlarged United Nations Security Council, Vardan Oskanian said. -0-
