Armenia is ready to expand its relations with US in military sphere and the joint efforts of the military department of the both states will contribute to the development of cooperation. Mediamax was informed from the presidential press office that the Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated about it at the meeting with the Pentagon delegation headed by the deputy Chairman of the United Committee of the US Heads of Staffs General Richard Mayers. Stressing the role of dialog with the Armenian Defence Minister, General Mayers also mentioned that the bilateral cooperation are rather perspective. "The US Administration wants to see a powerful, democratic, prosperous Armenia and is ready to continue its efforts directed to the establishment of peace, stability and security in the region," the representative of Pentagon said. Prospects of Armenia-NATO cooperation, as well as issues covering the stability and security in the region and the Karabakh conflict settlement were also discussed during the meeting. --0-- ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
