Armenian freestyle wrestlers to compete at Junior World Championship Jul 30

PanARMENIAN.Net - Bucharest, Romania is hosting a Junior World Wresting Championship with wrestlers in 4 weight categories to compete in freestyle wrestling 1st round due July 30.

On the 1st tournament day, Armenia will be represented by 3 wrestlers, with Gevorg Azrumanyan (under 50kg) to fight Turkey’s Burhan Altinas. Volodya Frangulyan (60 kg) will rival Azerbaijan’s Toghrul Asgarov, Gevorg Hambartsumyan (74 kg) will combat Theodoros Theodoridis of Greece.

Previously, Armenia’s Narek Khachatryan (55kg), Rafik Manukyan (74 kg) won Greco-Roman wrestling gold; with Rudik Mkrtchyan (50kg) having gained the bronze medal
