Hovhannisyan, who won champion’s title at recent World Team Chess Championship as part of the Armenian team, is currently 3rd in the standings with 6 points. Samvel Ter-Sahakyan ended the match against the leader of the championship, Italy’s Axel Rombaldoni (6,5 points) in a draw. Scoring 5,5 points Ter-Sahakyan, follows Hovhannisyan in the standings. Among girls, Maria Gevorgyan was defeated by Janelle Mae Frayna and dropped to 50th place with 2,5 points. Olga Girya of Russia keeps the lead. Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28.
