OPCW appreciates cooperation with Armenia![]() August 29, 2011 - 13:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Newly appointed ambassador of Armenia to the Organization for Prohibition for Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Dzyunik Aghajanyan, who is also Armenia’s ambassador to the Netherlands, handed credentials to the director of the Organization Ahmet Üzümcü, reported the press office of the RA Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, Mr. Üzümcü highly appreciated collaboration with Armenia, stressing that the country completely fulfilled its obligations under the relevant convention. The parties also discussed issues still pending for settlement. Amb. Aghajanyan underscored the significance of regional cooperation in MDW nonproliferation and creation of flexible mechanisms to resist the existing challenges. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
