Azeris dislike formation of Muslims’ Board in Georgia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeris are troubled over formation of Muslims’ Board in Georgia.

“In this regard, the Administration of Muslims of Caucasus expressed its anxiety to the Georgian side. We believe that to avoid any negative consequences, the issue will again be discussed and a relevant decision will be taken,” Gunduz Ismayilov, deputy chair of Azerbaijan state committee on religious institutions, said at a Batumi-hosted conference.

According to him, after the imminent amendments of the Georgian legislation the problems of Muslim communities in Georgia will also be addressed, Trend News reported.

Muslims’ Board in Georgia is am NGO aiming to exercise control over the Muslim organizations in the country.
