RESIGNATION OF ARMENIAN PRESIDENT IS THE ONLY WAY FOR AVOIDING TERRITORIAL SWAP

"If the Armenian President Robert Kocharian signs any document on territorial swap with Azerbaijan it will mean that Meghri region will become a questionable territory, and we will have to prove all the world that it is our land," the chairman of the 21st Century party David Shahnazarian said.

According to him the only way for preventing such developments and "saving Meghri" is the resignation of the Armenian President Kocharian. "If we fail to reach this goal because of political activity of the Armenian people, all the interested political forces of the state must make a joint statement to the National Assembly with the demand to start immediately the procedure of impeachment," Shahnazarian thinks.

From 1994 to 1995 David Shahnazarian was the chief of the Head department of the National Security of Armenia. In 1998 he was a presidential candidate, but had lost the elections. --0--
