RPA member: Kocharian’s return won’t affect Armenia’s domestic policy![]() September 29, 2011 - 14:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will support the candidacy of current President Serzh Sargsyan at 2013 presidential election, a member of RPA stated. “The decision was confirmed in coalition parties’ memorandum. RPA is not a pro-governmental or pro-presidential party. We are a ruling presidential party, pursuing our programs and goals,” Gagik Melikyan told a news conference in Yerevan. Melikyan did not rule out a possibility for ex-leader Robert Kocharian to run for President. The MP, however, was skeptical as to the fact above having any impact on Armenia’s domestic policy. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
