Armenia assumes chairmanship of CIS Interior Ministers Council

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia has taken over the chairmanship of the CIS Interior Ministers Council.

Armenian Police chief Alik Sargsyan assumed the duties from Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev during a meeting that brought together Interior Ministers from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

Opening the meeting, lieutenant general Sargsyan voiced confidence that the gathering will help strengthen cooperation between the CIS member states.
