UEFA refuses to cancel Roman Berezovsky’s red card

PanARMENIAN.Net - UEFA refused to cancel Armenia goalkeeper Roman Berezovsky’s red card, president of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), Ruben Hayrapetyan, posted on Facebook.

The refusal obligates Berezovsky to missing 1 official match as part of the national team.

Earlier, Armenia filed an official protest to UEFA over decisions by the referee in EURO 2012 qualifier in Dublin, looking to have goalkeeper Roman Berezovsky’s red card rescinded.

Berezovsky was sent off by Spanish referee Eduardo Gonzalez after 26 minutes for handball outside his area but TV replays clearly showed he chested the ball clear.
