Ashton starts South Caucasus visit

PanARMENIAN.Net - High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Baroness Catherine Ashton will pay a regional visit to the South Caucasus on November 15-17, and will be in Armenia on November 16-17.

She is going to meet the President of the Republic, Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, as well as representatives of civil society.

During her meetings, HR Ashton is going to discuss the upcoming elections, EU-Armenia relations, the internal political situation and regional issues, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Turkish-Armenian relations.
