2012 social package to include about 43 000 teachers

PanARMENIAN.Net - Social package worked out in the framework of 2012 draft state budget envisages inclusion of about 43 000 teachers, Armenian Minister of Education and Science said.

As Armen Ashotyan stated on November 17, calculations presented by Armenian Finance Minister implies that teachers of public schools, special schools and industrial schools may benefit from the social package.

When commenting on educational institutions with payment system, the Minister noted that they are planned to be included in the social package in 2013.

It is for the first time that 2012 draft state budget envisages AMD 18 bln for a social package to involve 100 thous. people. Civil servants may benefit from the package in three 4 directions: health insurance, interest rate payment for mortgage loans, education, rest in Armenia and in Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
