EU TO PROVIDE 4 MILLION EUROS TO ENHANCE ARMENIAN NUCLEAR PLANT SAFETY

PanARMENIAN.Net - To enhance the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) safety the European Union will provide 4 million euros to Armenia within TACIS program in 2004-2005. As ANPP director general Gagik Markosian told journalists today, the respective agreement was signed yesterday. In his words, since 1995 up to today to secure the station and to provide for its reliable exploitation $47 million have been provided. Out of that sum $35 million were given as assistance by the US government and $12 million - by the EU.
