The ministry stressed the Iranian government's "commitment to protecting the rights of diplomats and diplomatic locations," and promised to follow up the incident "through legal and relevant channels." Earlier Tuesday, November 29, Iranian protesters stormed the British embassy and another British diplomatic compound in Tehran, dramatically raising tensions with the West in a confrontation over the Islamic republic's controversial nuclear program.
