 Energy Minister says Turkey keeps developing Nabucco project January 23, 2012 - 13:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 20, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister said that Turkey keeps working for development of Nabucco project. Taner Yıldız and Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri held a press conference after a meeting titled "Turkey-Georgia Energy and Investment Arena" in Tbilisi. Yildiz noted that though Turkey is one of six partners of Nabucco pipeline project and is currently working to develop the project, EU member states should also exert efforts for solution to problems regarding the security of natural gas supply. “Turkey has done its part even more in regard to the matter, “he said. Dwelling on energy cooperation between Turkey and Georgia, Yildiz noted several projects to be developed by the two countries in the coming period. Preparations for the Nabucco project were launched in 2002 and the intergovernmental agreement between Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Austria was signed on July 13, 2009. The project is developed by the consortium of six companies. The pipeline will link the Eastern border of Turkey, to Baumgarten in Austria - one of the most important gas turntables in Central Europe - via Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary, according to Cihan News Agency   Top stories Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
