Expert briefs on liberal principles and national culture![]() February 25, 2012 - 13:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian military psychologist David Jamalyan published a pamphlet titled “Liberalism and Nationalism”. The publication addresses the issue whether it is possible to be bearer of liberal principles and national culture at the same time. As the expert told a press conference, many think liberalism and national values contradict one another. According to the book, nationalism is often viewed from political perspective. The author stressed the existence of national psychology, sense of group affiliation, similar to the national consciousness. Despite this, the expert believes formation of state national liberal system possible, the latter used in Japan and Israel. The book is non-commercial.
