COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL HOLDING PLANNED WITHIN WORLD UNION OF ARMENIANS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Formation of a commercial and industrial holding is planned within the World Union of Armenians (WUA). Chief of the organizational committee on formation of the WUA, chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamian said at a sitting of the committee in Yerevan today. In his words, as reported b "Arka" agency, it will be a large structure with a big authorized capital stock, which will engage not only in business, but also science, culture, supporting ties between Armenian communities of the world. A. Abrahamian noted that Armenian businessmen from various countries have already contributed some $50 million for the capital formation. Speaking of the principle of operation of the holding, the structure will be open and all wishing to participate in it can do it, he noted. "The only condition is that the holding will transfer 20% of the revenue to the WUA fund within the initial three years, and later - 10% a year," - A. Abrahamian said. The sum, in his opinion, will be sufficient for the organization "to take a rather firm stand." A. Abrahamian reported that simultaneously to the formation of the holding within the framework of the world Armenian organization a fund for contribution to implementation of long-term projects in Armenia would be created.
