FIRST EDITION OF "ANIV" ARMENIAN MAGAZINE PUBLISHED IN MINSK

PanARMENIAN.Net - On initiative of a group of Minsk Armenians the first 96-page edition of "Aniv" (Wheel), a new Armenian illustrated magazine, where works of Armenian, Russian, Australian Belarusian Estonian and US authors are presented, was published in the Belarusian capital city, Yerkramas newspaper reported. The "Anniversary" column dedicated to the 90-the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide includes recollections of those who survived that tragic event as well as an interview with Peter Balakian, the writer whose books about Armenian life became bestsellers in the US. "For All Time" column contains biography of Commander Garegin Nzhdeh. The other columns are entitled "Lessons of History", "Yerkir" telling about the life in Javakhk, "Spyurk", "Viewpoint" and "Word" where the works of Gohar Gasparian-Casper are presented. In the "Image" column well-known cartographer Ruben Atoian presents old and new maps of Yerevan. To note, the coordinator of the project is Armen Khechoian and the editor-in-chief is Karen Agekian.
