SENATOR THADDEUS McCOTTER JOINS CONGRESSIONAL ARMENIAN CAUCUS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Michigan Republican Thadeus McCotter has added his name to the over 115 members of the Congressional Armenian Caucus to promote Armenian American issues in the State Senate. As reported by the Armenian National Committee of America, the Senator was co-author of Michigan legislation permanently designating April 24th of each year as "Michigan Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923." McCotter had already stated in 2001 that the permanent remembrance of the 1.5 million Armenians massacred in Ottoman Turkey at the beginning of the last century would increase their vigilance to avoid such tragedies in the future.
