ARMENIA FOR FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL DISARMAMENT OF IRAQ

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is for full and unconditional disarmament of Iraq in pursuance of the UN Security Council resolutions. Armenian foreign ministry press secretary Dzyunik Aghajanian told "Arminfo" agency. In her words, Armenia's stand proceeds from the international treaties ratified by it and agreements on struggle against weapons of mass destruction. As a country adjacent to the region of tension, Armenia is concerned about the situation around Iraq and around it, D.Aghajanian noted. "The disarmament of Iraq is indispensable, otherwise the situation may lead to extremely undesirable consequences," - the press secretary emphasized. At the same time she added that Armenia had not raised the issue of providing an air corridor for US possible military operations against Iraq.
