CLUES TO PEACE AND STABILITY IN REGION IN ARMENIA'S HANDS, NATO SECRETARY GENERAL STATED

PanARMENIAN.Net - The clues to peace and stability in the region connecting Europe to Asia are in Armenia's hands. As reported by "Mediamax" agency, NATO secretary general George Robertson said this. In his words, it is more than enough for considering Armenia and important and valuable partner in NATO efforts to attain unity and freedom in Europe. "Each country participating in the Council of Euro-Atlantic partnership and "Partnership for Peace" NATO program agrees with the judgement that security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic territory can be achieved only by means of cooperation and combined actions. These countries have confirmed their attachment to the principles of democracy and international law," - NATO secretary general said. Armenia has assumed these obligations and is actively participating in the consultations and cooperation within the Council of Euro-Atlantic partnership and "Partnership for Peace" NATO program, he added.
