NATO Sec. Gen. encouraged by Armenian election process

PanARMENIAN.Net - "I was encouraged by the initial findings of the International Election Observation Mission, which noted some signs of progress," NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said.

"However, concerns have also been raised and they have to be addressed. NATO looks forward to continue working with Armenia in the framework of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) to lend support, where we can, to the strengthening of Armenia's democratic institutions," he said.
