"AGO" GROUP ACKNOWLEDGING WITH FULFILLMENT BY ARMENIA ITS OBLIGATIONS TOWARD CE

PanARMENIAN.Net - The delegation of the "Ago" monitoring group of the Committee of ministers of the Council of Europe being in Yerevan met today with the Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian. During the conversation, the course of the fulfillment of the obligations, undertaken by Armenia toward the CE was discussed. The issues of the death penalty cancellation as well as of the election system reform have been accentuated. The carrying out the obligations connected with the constitutional changes in the country was also discussed. MFA head also informed the "Ago" group members about the latest developments of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and the prospects of the Armenian-Turkish dialogue that had begun.
