LITHUANIA SUGGESTS HOLDING CONFERENCE ON SECURITY IN SOUTH CAUCASUS IN VILNIUS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Lithuanian defense minister Linas Linkevicius suggested to hold an international conference on security in the South Caucasus in Vilnius. The proposal was made in Tbilisi in the course of the meeting of Georgian president E.Shevardnadze and L.Linkevicius. In the Lithuanian minister's words, the main point of the forum is to present the experience of cooperation between the three Baltic states in the defense sphere to the South Caucasian countries - Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. In Linkevicius's words, besides the South Caucasian and Baltic states, representatives of the Western countries could participate in the security conference in Lithuania.
