There is no turning back in this process," Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoğlu said. As noted by the Turkish diplomat, a candidate country's membership process had never stopped unless such country refused membership itself in EU's history. "If a country kept displaying political will, there had never been other alternatives than full membership", Davutoğlu added, calling on EU to be committed to its promises and not to use Turkish-EU relations for political discussions within itself.
