PARTIES LED BY ETHNIC ARMENIANS ACHIEVED SUCCESS IN LOCAL ELECTIONS IN GEORGIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to provisional data, the opposition achieved considerable success at the local elections taking place in Georgia last Sunday. "National movement-democratic front" party led by ethnic Armenian Mickail Sahakashvili has won in many cities and regions. The Labor Party, "New Right" unifying president Shevardnadze followers and Christian-conservative party, in the list of which ex-speaker of the parliament, ethnic Armenian Zurab Jvania is the first, are among the leaders of the election race. Over 40% of the electors participated in the elections.
