ONE OF LOCAL ARMENIAN COMMUNITY LEADERS ELECTED MAYOR OF CALIFORNIAN CITY GLENDALE

PanARMENIAN.Net - One of the leaders of the local Armenian community, Doctor Rafi Manukian, who was one of the six members of the city council, has been elected the mayor of Glendale city (California, the USA). Armenians are almost one fourth of population of this city. Besides Manukian one more representative of the Armenian community is included in the city council. According to the principle of rotation the post of mayor is transferred from one member of the council to another one. Rafi Manukian has thanked all the electors and his predecessor Gas Gomes for everything he has done for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey.
