Akin Kayacan: Armenian-Turkish border has to be opened

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Armenia and Turkey should have long ago initiated the rapprochement process," NTV Turkish channel correspondent Akin Kayacan told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter in Bursa. "I'm aware of Armenian Diaspora's reluctance to normalize ties, yet I believe Diaspora doesn't feel the same way Armenia residents do. 1915 events are history and we have to move on," Akin Kayacan said, noting that Protocols' signing in Zurich was a positive step. "Closed border is not a way out. We no longer live in Middle Ages, so problems should be resolved otherwise. We have to act in the interests of people. Armenian-Turkish border has to be opened," Akin Kayacan emphasized.
