Turkey cancels agreement on purchase of Israel's Heron dronesNovember 21, 2009 - 16:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey has cancelled an agreement on purchase of 10 Israel's Heron drones, Turkish media reported quoting a source in the government. The decision to annul the $200 million deal was taken by the government on Friday. The agreement to purchase Herons from Israel Aerospace Industries and Elbit was signed several years ago. Israeli media reported lately that Turkey was considering scrapping it when Israel failed to meet production deadlines. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
