MAYORS OF YEREVAN AND ISTANBUL MET IN PARIS

PanARMENIAN.Net - A meeting devoted to improvement of relations between two cities - Istanbul and Yerevan, was held by their Mayors Ali Mufit Gurtun and Robert Nazarian in Paris the other day. Speaker of the French Parliament Christian Poncelet came out as the initiator of the meeting. As reported by "Arminfo" agency referring to Anatolian agency, the meeting aimed at bringing Armenia and Turkey closer. The Mayors agreed upon establishing cooperation between the two cities. Besides, they came to an accord to organize a meeting of the heads of Istanbul and Yerevan Universities. The French Senate is expected to finance the meeting.
