Discussion of Armenian-Turkish relations possible during Medvedev’s visit to Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - Aide to the Russian President Sergey Prikhodko said that Dmitry Medvedev and the Turkish leadership will discuss development of bilateral relations in economy, energy, agriculture, as well as the situation in Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan on May 12.

Actual regional and international problems will be in focus of negotiations between the Russian President and Turkish leadership, Prikhodko told journalists.

“The sides will refer to reciprocal measures against extremism and terrorism. They will discuss European security, situation in the South Caucasus, Cyprus and Near East problems, Iranian nuclear program, development of cooperation in the Black Sea region, as well as situation in Iraq, Afghanistan and Central Asia. Discussion of the Armenian-Turkish relations is also possible. Russia has traditionally been interested in implementation of mutually advantageous projects on cooperation with Armenia and Turkey, as well as between them,” Prikhodko said.
