Artsakh President attends events dedicated to Independence Day

PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 2, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan took part in events dedicated to the 19th anniversary of independence.

He laid flowers at the Memorial Complex in Stepanakert, unveiled the monument to fighter pilot Nelson Stepanyan and visited Stepanakert military hospital, where he bestowed the medal For Courage on Rudik Manaseryan, who was injured during the recent Azerbaijani subversive attack.

Asked about developments in Karabakh conflict settlement process, President Sahakyan noted that Azerbaijan’s efforts to push its one-sided resolutions through different international institutions can't but hamper the talks.

“The people of Artsakh made their decision on September 2, 1991. They confirmed it on December 10, 1991 and fought for freedom of Artsakh, cementing the victory on December 10, 2006 by adopting the Constitution,” he said, reported Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President.
