Armenia to intensify collaboration with Lebanon![]() September 10, 2010 - 17:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan had a number of meetings with high ranking Lebanon officials. During the meeting with Lebanon parliamentary speaker Nabih Berri, intensification of interparliamentary cooperation, as well as regional issues were covered. In a conversation with Lebanon Foreign Minister Ali Shami the Ambassador emphasized the importance of cooperation in international organizations, briefing the Minister on recent developments in Karabakh conflict settlement issue. Possible cooperation between Yerevan and Beirut was discussed with Beirut Mayor Bilal Hamad. Kocharyan passed the invitation of Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan to visit Armenia to participate in October 10 celebrations. At the meeting with Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber of Commerce official, the necessity to intensify bilateral business cooperation through creation of Armenia-Lebanon business council was emphasized, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
