"ITERA" INTENDS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE IRAN-ARMENIA GAS PIPELINE CONSTRUCTING

PanARMENIAN.Net - . The international group of "Itera" companies is really interested in the "Armenia-Iran" gas pipeline constructing and at the present time is examining the possible mechanisms of its participation. The press service of the company has stated it to the CNA agency correspondent today. According to its representative, Nikolay Semenenko's words, at this stage "Itera" studies the economic expediency of the project and the terms of its cost covering. The terms of the cost covering have already raised some doubts of "Itera" leaders. According to the source, the gas received from "ArmRosgazprom" today, costs $53/1000 cubic meters. The Iran gas cost already at the Armenian border reaches $85/1000 cubic meters. Today Armenia uses pretty convenient type of payment for it: 50% of the payment is paid in currency, material-technical resources pay the other part. Some doubts are also raised due to "Gasprom" participation refusal in the project and also the "Gas de France" "cold" attitude to the project. As it is known, the interest of these two companies in this project was considered as the main indicator of its expediency.
