Dalai Lama's nephew dies after being hit by car

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Dalai Lama's nephew was fatally hit by a car on a Florida highway last Monday during an awareness walk for Tibetan freedom, wire services reported last night.

Jigme Norbu was struck about 25 miles south of St. Augustine, Fl. while walking to West Palm Beach on an unlit highway after dark. Norbu is the son of the Dalai Lama's late brother, and the event was scheduled to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the failed Tibetan rebellion against Chinese rule. The driver was not charged in the accident, AP reported.
