ARMENIA CONCERNED OVER OPPORTUNITY OF FORMATION OF DIVIDING LINES IN CAUCASUS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is concerned over the opportunity of formation of dividing lines in the Caucasus. Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian said at the 112-th session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CE) in Strasbourg devoted to building Europe without dividing lines. In his words, the tension available in the region was reduced owing to the complementary foreign policy being pursued by Yerevan. According to a report by the press service of the Armenian foreign ministry, V. Oskanian also concerned the issue of cooperation between European structures, emphasizing their role in overcoming conflicts and strengthening democratic stability. In his opinion, the CE is the only European organization, which provides for an opportunity of cooperation at the regional level. "Such activity contributes to democratic stability in the countries of the region and can have only a positive impact to settle the differences available," - V. Oskanian said.
