RUSSIA AND ARMENIA SPEAK FOR QUICK RESUMPTION OF TRANSPORT COMMUNICATION IN THE CAUCASUS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 29.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenia and Russia speak for the quick exploitation resumption of railway and other transport communication in the Caucasus and are ready to make all the possible efforts in that direction.

This is stated in the Declaration "About allied interaction or Russia and Armenia in 21st century", signed by presidents Putin and Kocharian during the official visit of the Armenian President to Moscow on September 25-27.

The Declaration also says that the sides give paramount importance to the development of economic cooperation and they single out the following fields as priority tasks: fuel-energy sector, non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical and light industry, engineering industry, agricultural-industrial complex, transport, processing of precious stones. -0-
