UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT AWARDED DIPLOMAS TO ARMENIAN GROUP, WHO PARTICIPATED IN ELIMINATING CHERNOBYL CRASH CONSEQUENCES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today 10 Armenians, who had participated in elimination of the consequences of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant crash, were handed diplomas on behalf of Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma. Ukrainian ambassador to Armenia Vladimir Tyaglo also announced general Astvatsatur Petrosian was awarded medal "For Services in Battle" (posthumous) for participation in battles for liberation of Ukraine during World War II.
