US DOUBTS RELIABILITY OF AZERI PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RETURNS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The transgressions occurred in the course of the vote and counting the votes "make doubt the reliability of the returns of the presidential election in Azerbaijan," said US State Department Deputy Spokesman Adam Ereli. At that he noted that "the United States will work with elected president Ilham Aliyev and his government, however we consider that by failing to hold trustworthy election the Azeri leadership missed an important opportunity of promoting democratization." "The US calls to hold an immediate, independent and transparent investigation of the transgressions," Ereli stated.
