RABBI ASSEMBLY FOR RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY

PanARMENIAN.Net - The International Association of Conservative Rabbis - the Assembly of Rabbis - has joined the group of supporters of the congressional resolution marking the 15-th anniversary of US implementation of the Genocide Convention, which mentions the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey. As reported by the Armenian National Committee of America, the resolution was introduced before the House of Representatives in April 2003. A similar document was also submitted for consideration by the Senate, where 34 Senators support it. It should be noted that some 100 religious groups, non-governmental and human rights organizations have backed the genocide resolution.
