CONSTITUENT CONGRESS OF WORLD ARMENIAN ORGANIZATION OPENS IN MOSCOW MONDAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - The constituent congress of the World Armenian Organization (WAO) with participation of well-known public and political figures from over 80 countries of the world will open in Moscow October 6. Armenian president Robert Kocharian will arrive in Moscow tomorrow to participate in the two-day forum. Russian president Vladimir Putin is also expected to participate in the congress opening. As earlier stated by head of the WAO organizational committee, chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamian the organization activities will focus on protection of interests of all Armenians. It should be noted that within the framework of arranging the WAO constituent congress A. Abrahamian had meetings with presidents of Armenia, Russia, France, Argentina, Lebanon, as well as got the blessing of the leaders of the Armenian Apostolic and Roman Catholic Churches for the cause. His meeting with US president George Bush is scheduled in December.
